Last week Ben & I drove down to Tucson to see one of my best friends perform with her band, A Sunny Day In Glasgow. They managed to draw quite a crowd on a humble Monday night. They also managed to fit all 6 of themselves on the tiny art gallery’s stage, I was very impressed! Even more impressive was their show, with layered vocal melodies and a drummer who kept a steady driving beat under a wall of dreamy pop-rock sounds. The crowd was rather entertaining too, lots of group clapping and questionable dance moves throughout the night…hey, at least they were having fun. Oh and best of all, the two lovely ladies of the band can usually be found jamming out on stage in cute lil’ vintage outfits, purr! I have a feeling this band is going to be big, so be sure to catch them on the remainder of their US & European tour. Unfortunately we only had a few hours with our friend Jen, as ASDIG were headed straight to Austin’s SXSW after the Tucson performance, but it was still so great to see her. Two of my best friends moved away to opposite sides of the country within like 3 weeks of each other, leaving me rather sad and lonely! Why did you gals have to do that??? Check out a video of A Sunny Day In Glasgow:
